Insensitive

I have realized today that when I write about some of the things I do I can appear to be very insensitive to people that are in the medical system. After working in the medical business over 20 years I've gotten very cynical about things I have seen, overhead and observed and that is why I take a different approach than many people. Because of much of my training I realize that much of what happens in hospitals could be avoided if people just developed healthier lifestyles.
I am just as guilty as many. I grew up the way most people have being told what to eat by people (that I now realize) have an investment in me being sick because they have a solution for the problems they are creating which is medication or surgery. It has been over 22 years now since I took medication for something I was doing to myself and that includes aspirin.
By developing a better lifestyle (which still has room for improvement) I have completely by-passed the system. I have been around people that have completely reversed symptoms of poor health by making (what can be easy for some and a challenge for others) easy to understand changes that kept me from being a patient.
When we make these changes our body thanks us with extra years of mobility free from pain and symptoms that are common to people that throw caution to the wind everyday. I see them standing in line to get sick in a few hours, days or years. Some of the symptoms take years to develop and some are noticeable within minutes.
So when I work with people that noticeably disregard what their body is telling them, sometimes I feel shocked and dismayed because I want to help them if they want to help themselves.
Best wishes for anyone visiting my website that wants to improve their health. Have a special day.
