Unnecessary Operations

I overheard a man talking in a restaurant tonight talking about a surgery he had. What I find interesting about it is that it was something that could be fixed making minor chances in his life style. For about $5-10 a month he could have done something about this situation and avoided having to be cut open and it would improve his health.
Some people seem more interested in having surgery. Are people truly becoming more interested in their health? I ask myself this quite a bit as I listen to the ambulances going by my house daily. It seems like many people have some type of natural aversion to be healthy.
I was talking to another vendor today at a HEALTH fair that was diabetic.
Twenty years ago people were reversing diabetes. I would imagine if a person honestly wanted to be healthy they would find this type of information instead of listening to people that have an investment in their poor state of health.
Some people are waking up to realize that health is easy when you find the right information. So why do so many people want to be sick? I certainly scratch my head a lot when I hear people talk about having unnecessary procedures when easy simple solutions are to be found.
Sometimes I feel like I am standing out in heavy traffic trying to flag down people that will listen to simple easy to follow directions for health, but only some will stop and listen. Maybe tomorrow will be different.
